For Halloween Gaskells, 4 of us went as Hogwarts students. You can watch a wizarding-world picture of us, or you can browse Gina's online pictures for more fun. Photographer Dave also took some pictures of our group, but I must scan those (or later link to Dave's own scanning). Wednesday, October 22, 2003
While this little illustrated story does not directly apply to me, I figure it is a good reminder to all that lightening up and relaxing is often a really good idea. Small Stories - The 10 Commandments of Simon By the way, I am back again. In case you were curious and all. Had a good time. Places visited: Laurel, MD: Hampton Inn Asahi Restaurant Victoria's Secret Safeway Food and Drug Oseh Shalom My aunt's house Baltimore, MD: Amicci's (Italian restaurant) BWI (I think it's in Baltimore) Some town near Laurel, MD: A country club (brunch) Washington, DC: Holocaust Museum National Gallery, East Wing (Impressionists, Old Masters) National History Museum/Smithsonian Various locations in the metropolitan area: Green metro line and some of the blue line Yeah. Lots of fun :) Thursday, October 16, 2003

I think I might be enjoying my sociology class a little more because the professor has had more time teaching, and can write better essay questions because of this. Or not. I haven't decided yet. This is not to say I hate you Professor Heung it's just Phylis' paper topic is a lot easier to understand and write for, while at the same time needing possibly more insight and thought. Your questions were just fine. Also, your use of props is far more entertaining. I took the quiz at The Hebrew Hammer and discovered I am a Member of the Tribe. Who knew? Incidentally, the site is for a movie that I haven't seen, but wish to see, as everyone should, because it is Jewsploitation and has Andy Dick as Santa Damien. Monday, October 13, 2003

OH man. So I'm flipping channels, and I come across Jackass on MTV. They start playing Nutball, which is where two guys sit across from each other, spread-legged and wearing briefs with a target drawn on. Then, they throw rubber balls at the other guy's crotch. It is quite possibly the first thing I've seen on that show that really kinda struck me as a really weird thing. I'm not sure if that says more about me or the show. Later, they moved on to a large rawhide dog bone. Tuesday, October 07, 2003

Go watch this: Botherbotherbotherbother, and see Snape, Harry, Ron, and Dumbledore do silly things. There are even dungbombs. And it is ok to watch at work, provided anyone reads this while they are at work, or have people watching over their backs. There are puppets. Thank you, Vickie. Friday, October 03, 2003
Yahoo! News - Bush: Iraq War Justified Despite No WMD - I'm so angry I could just spit. Well, no, not really. It's just another one of those things that give a person such confidence and faith, like the graphs that show how most people who support the war and who think Saddam and Osama were best buds got their info from Fox News. Stupid people, stupid people all around. Did you know that Orson Welles wanted to make a Batman movie back in 1946? I think that is hella rad. Basil Rathbone, Marlene Dietrich, James Cagney, and George Raft, plus Gregory Peck as the lead (Welles wanted to play Batman/Wayne, but the studio wanted "a more traditional leading man") - ROCK. Just imagine what that movie would've been like. Granted, the effects might've been hokey, but with those actors, a lot could be forgiven. Basil Rathbone could've saved "Batman and Robin", I'm sure of it. Wednesday, October 01, 2003
